Safar Ka mahina and superstitions

The second month of the lunar calendar is Safar, the name of this month was Safar even before Islam, Islam retained this name.  It is called "Safar al-Muzaffar" in order to eliminate the wrong things and superstitions about this month.  In the era of Jahiliyyah, the month of Safar was considered inauspicious and people considered it bad to travel in this month.  It was considered inauspicious when the month of.
In the month of Safar, when the war started again, the Arabs would leave for war and leave their homes empty, so this month was named Safar (which means empty).  Therefore, even in today's conscious society, many people are suffering from such superstitions due to ignorance and distance from religion about the month of Safar, which are not even remotely related to the religion of Islam.

Undoubtedly, the creator of the month and the year, the night and the day and every moment of time is Allah, the Exalted, and Allah has not declared any day, month or hour to be evil.

In fact, such superstitious ideas entered the society through non-Muslim nations and pre-Islam polytheists, and today these corrupt ideas have entered the Muslim nations, while the bright pages of the religion of Islam are free from such superstitions.  There is no scope in Islam to consider any time as unlucky, but calling a day or a month unlucky is actually equivalent to putting a defect in the time created by Allah, the Most High, which consists of nights and days.

Allah has said, "The son of Adam hurts me.  He curses the time (day, month, year) even though I am the time (zamana), the kingdom is in my hands, I change the day and the night”.  From this it became known that day and night are created by Allah Ta'ala, to call someone defective is to find a defect in the workmanship of the Creator and Owner.  In a hadith, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said about Tawakkul, "Know!  If people gather to benefit you, they cannot benefit you except what Allah has written in your destiny.

And if people gather to harm you, they cannot harm you except what Allah has written for you.  Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Taking a bad omen is shirk, taking a bad omen is shirk, taking a bad omen is shirk" (mishka).  In another hadith, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever stops doing something due to the fear of a bad omen has surely committed shirk (asghar)".

From this, it is known that inauspiciousness, i.e. considering something to be evil, is strictly prohibited in the Shari'ah.  Therefore, considering the month of Safar to be inauspicious, stopping marriages in this month is shirkiya act according to the hadiths, which must be avoided in any case.  Some ladies and gentlemen celebrate the last Wednesday of Safar-ul-Muzaffar like Eid, the reason being that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recovered on the last Wednesday and went out for sightseeing.  Although the origin of this claim is neither in the hadith nor in the history books.

In the sub-continent, the month of Safar is also known as the month of Thirteen Fasts. Those who say so believe that the first 13 days of this month are very inauspicious. During these days, sorcerers, jinn and evil spirits openly cause calamities and  A saying has also been made that if any disease occurs in these days, the patient will survive with difficulty or the disease will be fatal or severe in this month.

While all these things have been spread in the public, which are mere rumors and falsehoods, idioms and heresies and additions to the Hanif religion, there is no justification for them in the Shariah.  Freed from and equipped with proofs and proofs, all the commands of Islam have reached their completion.  And there is no place for myths and innovations in this religion.

Now there is no so-called religious scholar, Mufti or Muhaddith who would add the poison of heresies and myths to this clear and transparent source of religion, but it is a pity that Satan and his followers have tried to confuse this pure religion with delusion and ignorance and  No effort has been spared to tarnish it with myths.  The religion of Islam has given perfect guidance to man at every level. The requirement of faith, belief and trust in God Almighty is that the belief that everything happens from Him should be established in the heart and mind of man.

In fact, the idea of misogyny, cynicism and superstition about something is an un-Islamic thought and completely contrary to Islamic teachings.  We should remember that we can please our Creator and Lord Allah the Most High if we obey and follow His instructions and teachings and never give preference to our selfish desires and superstitions over the Shariah and Sunnah.  .
