 Hazrat Kalib, may God bless him and grant him peace, says that wealth came to Hazrat Ali from Isbahan.  You divided it into seven parts.  You also got a loaf of bread in it.  You cut it into seven pieces and placed a piece on each piece, then called the commanders of the seven divisions of the army and cast lots among them to determine which of them should be given first.  Hazrat Abdullah Hashmi narrates from his father, Hazrat Ali came to ask for two wives.  One of them was an Arab and the other was his freed slave.  He ordered that each of them should be given one crore (about 63 minas) of grain and forty dirhams.  The freed slave girl took her away, but the Arab woman said, O Commander of the Faithful!  As much as you gave her, you also gave me the same amount even though I am an Arab and this is a freed slave.

شیخ مفید ہی یہ بیان کرتے ہیں یمن میں ایک زاہد رہتا تھا جو ہر وقت عبادت و ریاضت میں مشغول رہتا تھا۔ اس زاہد کا نام مشرم بن و عیب تھا اور یہ زاہدین کے نام سے مشہور تھا۔ اس کی عمر ایک سو نوے سال تھی اور نید اکثر اوقات یہ دعا کرتا تھا۔ اے اللہ اپنے حرم سے کسی بزرگ کو بھیج تا کہ میں اس کی زیارت
